Storyline :

What if you could live forever? The Fountain is an odyssey about one man’s eternal struggle to save the woman he loves. His epic journey begins in 16th-century
Spain, where conquistador Tomas commences his search for the Fountain of Youth, the legendary entity believed to grant immortality. As modern-day scientist Tommy Creo, he desperately struggles to find a cure for the cancer that is killing his beloved wife, Isabel  Traveling through deep space as a 26th-century astronaut, Tom begins to grasp the mysteries that have consumed him for a millennium. The three stories converge into one truth, as the Thomas of all periods—warrior, scientist, and plorer—comes to terms with life, love, death and rebirth.

One Plane, 6 Million Pieces

pic10808-1.jpg

One Boeing 747-400 contains six million individual parts.Half of the parts are fasteners and are manufactured in 33 countries around the world. The thrust from just one of it’s four engines (60,000lb each) is more than all four engines combined on the original 707. The thrust to weight ratio is better than the current Airbus A380. The plane is so big that the fuselage holds over a ton of air.

The one Black Family on the Titanic

titanicpic.jpg

Researchers at the Chicago Museum of Sciences and Industry have discovered that there was one black family on the Titanic.Joseph Laroche was bringing his wife Juliette and their daughters Simonne and Louise back to his native Hati. The Laroche’s were passengers in second class (1st class was sold out). They had been originally booked 1st class tickets on the Liner La France, but switched to the Titanic when they found they would not be permitted to eat with their children

Fireflies

turpin_fireflies.jpg

When a firefly lights up the night, the little critter isn’t using electricity or fire, but instead a chemical reaction. The light flashes are the result of a chemical reaction where oxygen is combined with luciferin, an enzyme called luciferase and ATP. When the firefly breathes in, the chemicals react to produce that telltale glow. We call the process bibioluminescencend it is incredible efficient. When those bugs flash, the chemical reaction converts nearly 100% of the available energy into light. In comparison, your average incandescent light bulb only converts 10% of the available electricity into light. The rest of the energy produced is heat.

Ass

bible.gif

For those of you keeping count, the word “ass” appears in the bible 170 times. The word “ass” is also one of the words you cannot say on TV. That means a TV show depicting the bible word for word would need to be censored 170 times simply due to the use of the word, “ass.”

Why are these CEOs smiling? In San Francisco on Thursday, Novell’s Ron Hovsepian
(left) and Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer unveiled an unexpected collaboration between their
companies to address longstanding corporate concerns over the role of open-source
software. The software makers say they’ll work to help bridge the technological and
business divide between Novell’s open-source Suse Linux operating system and the
 proprietary Microsoft Windows.

AUDIO STEGANOGRAPHY

ABSTRACT:

Audio steganography is a useful means for transmitting covert battlefield information via an innocuous cover audio signal. The two primary criteria for successful embedding of a covert message are: (a) the embedded stego signal  is perceptually and otherwise indistinguishable from the unimpeded host audio signal, and (b) the embedded message is  recovered correctly at the receiver. The first criterion ensures that the existence of the embedded, hidden information is concealed by retaining the perceptual quality of the original host signal. The second requirement is essential for efficient covert communication. Other requirements such as robustness of embedding, data recovery without the original cover signal, etc. may depend upon the type of applications. If the embedded message is another audio signal, one may perceive  the intended message even if some errors are encountered during data recovery.

FEATURES:

• A major goal of this application is the perceptual transparency – be the host an image, audio or video.
• This advantage of noise inherent in imagery extends from white Gaussian noise to speckle noise.
• The large size of visual media that enables higher capacity for hidden information.
• The available size of the host audio will be large and hence the embedded data capacity can be increased.

MODULES:

• GUI Designing.
• Data Encoding.
• Data Decoding.

LANGUAGE USED:           Java.
